T is for time….we all have such a lot of it at this moment, how to fill the days up with being at home after we have taken care of the essentials. Hubby fills his time up with looking after the housework……he always has. It is not because I will not. He took over this when he was first retired and I was working full time. He also chops/saw up wood each during these winter months for the fire. Then at 3.3o lights the fire and settles down for watching Tipping Point, The Chase and Home and Away….then switch off when the news comes on. We hear the news from the radio and in the newspaper. That’s enough. Me, I have a little area around where I sit on the sofa where I have my laptop, book, magazine, crossword book knitting and a basket of craft stuff to make into cards/bookmarks. On my laptop, I will Facebook, youtube watch tv on demand and then its bedtime….so the days go by.
T is also for Tyler my dear grandson. I love him so much and miss not seeing him in these lockdown times.
T is for trains……I love them, sometimes getting into conversations with people you will never see again. Memories from train journeys……..Earliest is from my dad’s army days when we lived in Cheshire and used to travel up from Cheshire to stay at my grandads….have a memory of being in one of those “Hogwarts” type train compartment……waking up and having orange from mum and dad…..then later being violently sick, Travelling to Wales to visit Sheila when I first knew her…one not forgotten visit when she celebrated a big 0 birthday. Going all that way for party tome at that time I felt really cool. Special chocolate cake in the evening. Watching the birthday girl trying to plant an apple tree at 2 am and breakfast of strawberries and champagne in the morning. Trips now to Bridport where she lives now….which I have missed this last year.Trips up the North when we have visited family…..I do hope to manage a few more before the end. Seeing the Angel of The North if I was getting off at Newcastle.

Unrequited love….well we have all “falling” in love with singers/actors etc…..mine were Billy Fury, David Essex, Bruce Springsteen, PaulNewman and Gregory Peck to name a few….there were many crushes nearer home. Let me see if I can remember them all.No1…..at school there were two. Ian Bennett and Mr Lowery. Ian Bennett was in my last class at school at I suppose the hormones were kicking in and I used to”lurve” him from afar. The “prettiest” girl in the class was the one that went out with him. Mr Lowery along with some other “young “teachers joined our school in I think my 3rd year. These teachers were just out of teachers college and properly all that many years older than us. As an adult, it must have been awful having to face all these simpering schoolgirls. Then I “lurved” a butcher called “Tom” who used to live next door but one to us……..then a person I took a shine to that was travelling on the bus to Sunderland like me every day. Never found out his name….but fancied him for 2 years. Then George a bus conductor on the Sunderland bus and Neville who used to be a storeman at Janet Frazers. That can Isay about all this…HOW SAD WAS I?

As I was in the next group I was very surprised but accepted…..Hubby had no side effects, not even a sort arm……..which I dis for a few days and a half-day headache…….glad I have had it hope it’s not too long before you have yours.
