I only have one sister…..and she only has one sister too. There are 7 years between us. We are both very different people….but she is still special to me. We shared a bedroom….we shared a bed!. The small bedroom we shared was not big enough for two beds so we had what I think was called a quarter size bed…..has it a special name?<\/p>\n
Lots of memories but one snowy Sunday morning sticks in my mind. My 4 brothers and my sister all had paper rounds to earn some pocket money. Me?….. I was the only one who didn’t. I wonder if I thought it was below me(not really….lol)<\/p>\n
Anyway, the winter of 64\/65 when the snow was deep and even. The Sunday papers were late…..they didn’t arrive quite late in the day. The snow was very deep and cold and it was deep enough to come up to my sister’s waist so my mum made me go out with my sister to help her deliver the papers. It went on and on and on finishing late in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
We got a lot of “well-done girls” and words to that effect. My sister probably has different memories….but all mine are being very wet and being given a mince pie.<\/p>\n
And my sister never paid me anything out of the “pay” she made that day…..but I am sure will let me know if I am wrong.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
